Why do my clownfish stay in the corner?

Asked: GoFish Cam, Last Updated:

Hanging out in the corner is a sign of insecurity. I observed it a lot with those that got beaten up by other fish (usually also clowns) in the tank. Clownfish only feel really secure if they have a host, ideally an anemone but surrogates like corals or ceramic flowerpots work as well.
