Do you kill a fish before filleting?

Asked: Ivan Tarasyuk, Last Updated:

No matter, they taste the same. I do cut the throat on channel cats right away to bleed them. Only ones I "feel" bad for, if you could call it that are the bullheads/cats I skin before lopping the head off and gutting. Otherwise, I cut the heads off all my fish before filleting.
