In my opinion, bottom feeders are a great addition to almost any aquarium. They get added to tanks mostly as cleaner fish. They eat up bits of food that make it past top and mid level feeding fish. This helps keep the tank cleaner because there isn't a bunch of food rotting on the substrate.
