Carp will live in anything, very very messy though so a large external filter is needed, pref rated to cope with around 3-4 times the water volume stated. Flow rate isnt that important, its the filter volume. A Eheim bucket filter like a 2250 or 2260 would be ideal for any tank 4' and over. Only feed ONCE a day....
