Can I use Windex to clean the outside of my fish tank?

Asked: David Graham, Last Updated:

I use Windex all the time with no ill effects. I spray it right on the glass, but I try not to create a big misty cloud with it so my skimmer can't suck anything in the downdrafts. I use it sometimes but spray it on the rag and use a dry rag to wipe it off... no problems.
